Only 4 miles south is Shotgun Eddys, bar and dining. 6 miles North, Mitchellsville Country Store has a cafe/bar with great food. 12 miles north to Harrisburg has endless dining options. While you’re there, check out the home of the largest Kentucky Fried Chicken!
Harrisburg also has farm stores. If you need riding gear and apparel, check out Henson’s H-Bar Western Store, the oldest, largest, and most complete Western Store in Paducah, KY. Featuring boots, hats, saddles & tack, knowledgeable employees and great customer service!
Great fishing right in the campground and nearby hunting is excellent! We have a variety of terrain from wooded lots, hills, and valleys. Stay with us in our Lodge and relax in a private room with a private bath, or enjoy our spacious campground and enjoy the incredible Shawnee Forest!
The Shawnee National Forest is a popular destination for hiking and exploring! Visit Burden Falls only a couple of miles away by vehicle. The tallest falls in Illinois. Bell Smith Springs is a very popular area and a great hike. Only minutes away and has swimming holes (primitive). Indian Kitchen is a few miles away and makes a great hike. Garden of the Gods is about a 25-minute drive. Or hike directly onto trails leaving Little Lusk!
Dixon Springs State Park has a beautiful pool and awesome slide. 15 minutes south. In Harrisburg, 12 miles north, you may enjoy Harrisburg Memorial Park Pool. Also, Lake Glendale 14 minutes South, has a dock and beach for swimming. For primitive swimming, try Bell Smith Springs, only minutes away & has many large rock formations.
